Midwest Banjo Camp (North Manchester, IN)
June 1 – June 4

Pete Wernick, “Dr. Banjo”, is renowned worldwide for his contributions to bluegrass music: the hot-picking force in several trend-setting bands including Hot Rize and Country Cooking, respected author and teacher, and 15-year President of the International Bluegrass Music Association. Since 1980, Pete has conducted over 100 instructional camps nationwide and overseas, and continues to refine his teaching methods. His instructional videos and books include bestsellers such as Bluegrass Jamming, Bluegrass Banjo, Branching Out on the Banjo, How to Make a Band Work, and many others.

The Midwest Banjo Camp is one I’ve I’ve always enjoyed — a dazzling array of top players, both 3-finger and clawhammer: Munde, Trischka, Cahill, Baugus, Hurt, Blount and many other “stalwarts of the five”, plus even some 4-string instructors, Greg Blake on guitar, and … well, check out their website!
The new location is by Ft. Wayne, IN, and with the pandemic receding it’s their first assembly since 2019 — so best get your spot early!
