I am 60 year old and a previous banjo player that has gotten the bug to play again. I am about to purchase a Washburn B120 at Guitar center with a 15 % Easter discount. However, someone has recommended I should strongly consider the Recording King B25 instead. Any advise on which one or others that I should consider in this price range.

Sorry, I can't say I have an opinion on this. There are good banjos by several makers, Gold Tone, Recording King, and American brands like Deering and American Made Banjo that make good banjos that are in the more affordable range. It's a pretty competitive market, so generally speaking, all are a good deal for the money. Shop around, is all I can suggest. A lot of it is a matter of taste.
